Complaints and out-of-court disputes

Mr Vanlocke is subject to the scheme for the out-of-court settlement of disputes provided for in Book XVI of the Belgian Code of Economic Law. In accordance with Title 2, Book XVI CEL, a complaint may be filed directly, or information obtained, in relation to an agreement already concluded, from the complaints department at the email address: nelson@vanlocke.be.

In accordance with Title 4 of Book XVI CEL, requests or complaints may also be filed with the Consumer Disputes Ombudsman for the Legal Profession (OCA), the qualified entity competent for the out-of-court settlement of disputes between consumers and lawyers. The OCA is included on the list of qualified entities, which can be consulted on the website of the Federal Public Service Economy, SMEs, Self-Employed and Energy.

The OCA has jurisdiction over complaints relating to the lawyer's services. Complaints are preferably filed online using the electronic complaints form available at https://oca.ligeca.be/nl/.
